From the 17th of February until the 20th of March we have been lucky to enjoy the visit of a school group from Reunion Island, precisely from Lycée Isnelle Amelin. The group consisted of 10 students and 3 leaders responsible for the boys & girls.
Located in Southeast Africa, Reunion Island is multicultural, where we find descendants of Chinese, Americans, Europeans, and many are Creoles. It is a French overseas department whose capital is Saint Denis. Its most illustrious citizen is Roland Garros, that far from what people may think, he was not a tennis player, but aviator. But perhaps the most interesting thing is precisely outside the city. Like the Piton de la Fournaise, which with its 2611 meters of height is one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
For that and much more it is an authentic paradise for diving, mountain and extreme sports lovers. Any self-respecting local knows there's nothing more authentic than a Sunday picnic on the beach ...
Our students did not come on vacation but worked in various companies such as Intersport, Regional Craft Center, travel agencies or Instituto Hispanico de Murcia itself. It is the best way to learn a language as they begin to take the first steps in the world of work.
That is why, in addition to these training, they have held workshops and courses with which to continue exchanging experiences in Spanish while being familiar with Spanish and Murcia culture learning, i.e. how to cook paella, flamenco and salsa lessons, tapas cooking classes,... among many other activities.
In addition to getting to know the city and the Region of Murcia they also visited Madrid, Granada and Valencia. They even had an article published in LA OPINIÓN newspaper.
