The school is located right in the heart of the city of Murcia, opposite to the University and surronded by many places of interest, the Cathedral, museums, bars and restaurants, and it is fully equipped with a library, audio-visual aids set up for multimedia and audio-video activities. Here you will have totally free access to Internet and Wi-Fi.
We don´t suffer from the so-called bigness complex, so don´t expect a big school; there are only three classrooms in our main building!
The library has over a thousand books specialising in Spanish as a foreign language material, the best of literature in Spanish of all times and many dvd Spanish films. You can also check out any material for a week at a time. As you can see, we give you all the opportunities to study and learn!
We care for all, so in our school there is also access for the disabled with a special electrical disabled ramp.
INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION
IH Murcia courses are approved by many international, national and local organizations, as the Swedish Government (CSN) and the German Government throughout educational programmes in different German states (BILDUNGSURLAUB). We also collaborate with 45 international agencies and institutions such as the Assembly of European Regions in Brussels, the Region de Murcia Autonomous Community Government and Murcia Local Government throughtout exchange and voluntary international youth programmes, we are founding and active members of the Consortium of Language Travel Companies in Murcia TURLINGUA, Murcia Turística, The Foundation for the Development of and Research into Spanish Culture FIDESCU, and we are recognised by the Universidad Pontificia of Salamanca as D.I.E. (Diploma Internacional de Español) examining centre. DOLOGY & TEACHERS
The success of any language school stems from the quality of the teachers and the methods they use. That is why we count on a team of enthusiastic professionals, which, above all, aim to teach our students in an effective, enjoyable and professional manner.
But what probably stands out the most is the contact between teachers and students.
Our teachers are selected on their ability to listen, their friendliness, enthusiasm and patience, but most of all for their love of teaching. Many of them have been with us for a considerable time and are highly experienced in our effective way of teaching Spanish. We obviously teach our own teachers: we train them on a regular basis so as to be updated in the language learning process.
We use an interactive method of teaching based on learning by practice. This means that grammar is covered but, as much as possible, taught using practical situations.
Throughout the course you will receive the didactic materials needed. Our textbooks are composed of a series of units with integrated homework exercises and practical activities through which you will, almost without noticing, learn to understand and speak Spanish. These units lead you in a structured and progressive manner through the Spanish language. Every student is encouraged to speak Spanish from the very first day, and, in fact, they do so.
We use a combination of commercially published textbooks and supplementary materials created by our teachers.
